June and July!

What a couple months it has been! From Santa Maria, Jurupa, to Reno, Colorado Springs, Salinas, and Cheyenne, I have truly been living out of my Ariat gear bags! What fun it has been!

Traveling north to Reno, I was anxious to meet up not only with the other visiting royalty but also the California Rodeo Salinas committee. They have a dinner every year and they were so gracious to invite me to their party. Thank you Salinas! While attending the Reno Rodeo, I met up with Miss Rodeo Kansas Amy Wilson, Miss Rodeo Nevada Janette Bye, along with the newly crowned Miss Reno Rodeo! I don't think anything will ever be able to compare to the stagecoach ride we are apart of during the performances.... All I can say is that you better screw your hat down and bring a hat brush, because it is a WILD RIDE! Before packing up and heading home in my Tundra, I made my last visit to the Bob Fiest Invitational where I greeted the winners, Texans Steve Purcella & Casey Chamberlain. Congratulations! Thank you to The Ulch family, The Kingsley's, as well as the entire Reno committee for having me!

Next stop was the Pike's Peak or Bust rodeo, and the Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame inductions! I could barely pack my bags fast enough to get on the plane! The rodeo was a true production, and while I was there I had the opportunity to meet Cowboy Steve, who taught not only myself but also Miss Rodeo Alabama, Miss Rodeo New Mexico how to trick rope!! Now I'm not saying I was consistent by any means, but I did get that rope around me once or twice! The hospitality for all 16 of us state queens was unbelievable! From our shuttle drivers... (Or we liked to call them our limo drivers) to the phenomenal committee, thank you for having me! Saturday, we were off bright and early to the Hall of Fame inductions at the PRCA gardens. I was thrilled to be there, since the Russell's bull (Salinas stock contractor), Skoal's Pacific Bell was being inducted. Sincere congratulations to all the inductees, very well deserved, and I felt honored to be in your presence!

Flying home on Sunday, with one day to pack I was back on the road to arrive in my home away from home, SALINAS!!! I cannot say enough about this superior rodeo, from their queen contest, to their hospitality tent for their sponsors; it is truly a first class production. My all time favorite part of the California Ro-day-o is the freestyle bull fights! Myself, along with the newly crowned Miss California Rodeo Salinas, Amanda Jacobsen, and the 2006 Miss California Rodeo, Kari Ann Moreno got the sold out crowd pumped up by dancing to the YMCA prior to each fight! What fun we had!!!! To Jim and Cindy Slaten, Mandy Roth, and the Miss California Rodeo queen committee, I cannot say thank you enough for including me, I treasure my time at Salinas. THANK YOU!

Three days at home, and I was back on a plane to the Daddy of 'Em All, Cheyenne, Wyoming!! Arriving to Cheyenne, in a ten-seat airplane, the pilot took us right over the rodeo grounds, being able to have a perfect aerial view of where I was going to be! What a sight!!! The rodeo was quite overwhelming; with sold out grandstands, three sections of each event, and a huge autograph signing party, I didn't want to leave! The weather was also a little different then I am used to...Rain, lots of rain, thundershowers, and lightening! We spent most of our time at the grounds, but when we had down time Miss Oklahoma Rodeo, Lauren Holt and I headed back to our host family, Ardys and Norm Lutter. Thank you so much to the Lutters' for opening their home to us, along with Arlene Kensinger for being not only an inspiration to rodeo queens but also a fabulous hostess! Thank you for a phenomenal time!!

On my way home from Cheyenne, I was making a schedule to repack my bags for TX. I have some very exciting news!! I will be hosting a TV show out of Ft. Worth, called Television Horse Source. My week that I'll be there we will be filming 26 episodes, for the upcoming season. I'm sure you're wondering what the show will be about and here is a website where you can view it... Thank you to Nancy Stober of Handsome Stranger productions for giving me this unbelievable opportunity.

After Ft. Worth I'll be headed to Amarillo for the Miss Rodeo America Seminar, and be home in late August! I'll be sure to catch all of you up to date then!!

God Bless!
