The Rose Parade

The chance of a lifetime!

I found a great way to start the new year off in style...riding with the Broken Horn Ropers in the Rose Parade! 

Felix and Teresa Lopez of the Broken Horn Trick Ropers are amazing individuals who combine with many others, to create this awesome parade entry!  I have always made it a tradition to watch the Rose Parade, but this year I had the chance to really "wake up, and smell the roses"!  My Quarter horse Duv thought he was the star of the show with his bunch of roses, that never the less he attempted to eat!  I have heard attending the parade is breathtaking, but  participating in it was an honor and a privilege!  Thank You to the Broken Horn Ropers, especially Felix and Teresa!

What do a bunch of State Rodeo Queens do for fun in Las Vegas?

               Go bowling of coarse!

While in Las Vegas, Nevada for the 2008 Miss Rodeo America Pageant, I had the opportunity to attend the annual "Ladies in Waiting", bowling party and luncheon!  Let's just say, I need to practice more before I trade in my cowboy boots for bowling shoes again!  The event was so fun and created a great way to meet other state Queens, and Miss Rodeo America coordinators before competing at the 54th annual pageant next December!
